Finally met my class yesterday and started to get to know them but I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time making sure I can say some of their names!!! I still cant get over how small the classroom is and cant really think about how little room there will be when we have all 33 children in - most of yesterday we only had 13 as most of the class were off finishing art work for a display, as a result none of the planned activities were completed!!! Had a tour of the school and a talk with the deputy head who is also the school mentor everyone at the school seems really nice and welcoming. Have the planning for next term but maybe I'm being blonde its not making much sense I think they are still using the 2000 curriculum not sure will have to talk about it next week!!!!

Serial Day One
What a long day!!!!!!!!! Its not even half nine and I'm back home. Got to school after running around like a mad person as I forgot to turn my alarm clock on (thank God for the hampster and Tab!) to find out that the teachers weren't expecting us and that it was an inset day and we didnt have to stay!! One good thing though is I'm in a Year 4 class which is great and the school asked where I would like to go which I think is great the last two years I was told. I have 31 kids in my class and about half are EAL they have the basics of English but aren't great in class. I'm really looking forward to meeting them next week and am a bit gutted that I didnt today I know it cant be helped but got my self all worked up for it. I was a bit worried as the classrooms are all open plan but they actually look really nice and welcoming I think I'll be quite happy teaching there.
Oh and I can park in the car park next week!!!!!!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you all had a good day xxxx
